Salary: W2 (Annual Rate) 110,000 or 1099 Rate (hourly rate) $65/hr
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Network Systems Engineer to provide senior-level
support for a mission critical IP messaging and communications transport network in
Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include network integration, testing, security
engineering, configuration, implementation support, and technical briefings.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Provide network integration, testing, security engineering, and implementation
support.
● Collaborate with network architects to define and improve DISA STIG compliant
configuration baselines.
● Support lab environment infrastructure devices and test automation
opportunities.
● Lead development of SOPs/TTPs and support Continuous Service Improvements
(CSI).
● Participate in Incident Management (IM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for
Problem Management activities.
● Perform technical maintenance involving firewalls, VPNs, IPS, network encryption
devices, and load balancers.
Core Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Masters with 6-10
years of relevant experience.
● Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
● Security+ Certification or other DoD 8570 IAT Lvl II Certification.
● Extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, Network and Security
architecture, routing, switching, and common security elements.
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
● Experience with Cisco enterprise network routing, switching, and firewall/security
devices.

● Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD implementation.
● AWS cloud certifications.
